Vulnerability - naturally dyed regeneratively farmed British wool woven art/scarf

Sorry, this item has sold.

Vulnerability, handwoven naturally dyed regeneratively farmed British wool wall hanging. While most beautiful displayed on a wall, this item is part of my concept of "multifunctional art" and can be used as a table runner or worn as a scarf, being careful not to get your fingers tangled in the floating threads.

A textural weave and all colour from nature. Every single thread in this piece has been lovingly dyed from scratch by me with plants.

I would have liked to write something smart or poetic about this, but sometimes the deepest feelings have no words. Just that the soft, delicate, vulnerable part of you is precious. It's that soft and open part of you that keeps the energy of the world in balance.

Vulnerability is underrated. It's that part of you that an already though society would encourage you to discard, suppress, keep at bay. It's that very part of you that I would encourage you to treasure dearly. As I treasure mine.

The lovely farm that supplies my wool is Regenerative, GM free, Grass fed (no grains), High Welfare certified as well as EOV (Ecological Outcome Verification) verified. In a nutshell, this means that instead of depleting the soil, they improve it.

Both warp and weft are naturally dyed. The wool has been hand dyed in my kitchen and the water from the exhaust dye baths goes back into the soil and any remaining plant material into our garden compost bin.

My patterns are always asymmetrical, always intuitive, never following a pre-made pattern. All the items are unique and I will never weave two identical ones.

Care instructions:
Hand washing and drying flat is recommended. As with any delicate handmade item, it is recommended to be gentle when handling, especially if they feature textural elements.
Natural dyes are PH sensitive, therefore they must be washed with PH neutral soap (I use Ecover Delicate of which I have tested the PH myself).

Please note that natural dyes look different depending on the light. Also please note that even though I did my best to take an accurate photo of the colour, it can differ from screen to screen
